Thank you all so much for your prayers, good wishes and support. It is so beautiful to see how loved this little girl is.

Dancing In The Rain

Dear Friends, (because that’s what you all have become, Friends)

Andrew and I have compiled a realistic, relatively short and doable list, not only to fill Lilee-Jean’s life to the brim with love, laughter and magic, but to keep ourselves focused on our now and not our later.
We have chosen to call it “Dancing In The Rain” in stead of a “bucket” list for obvious reasons, and if time allows, we will hopefully be adding to it as we cross things off.

There is no better way to fight disease and to fight death, than to live. So when we finish our last few stomach churning, heart wrenching “to do’s” they will be put aside, and left to gather dust until the time comes for them to rear their ugly heads… IF that time does come.

“Today we fight. Tomorrow we fight. The day after, we fight. And if this disease plans on whipping us, it better bring a lunch, ’cause it’s gonna have a long day doing it.”
― Jim Beaver, Life’s That Way: A Memoir

This may sound strange but I have grown to love your little family so much and I have never even met you. You are truly remarkable and your words so inspirational. I know you will treasure every moment of your dancing in the rain. Something we should all strive to do everyday we are gifted with life. We continue to pray for a miracle. Lots of love Tracy

You are an amazing family. I have smiled, laughed and cried. On Saturday I will make a luminary in honor of LiLee as our family participates in the Relay For Life in Fort St John, BC. Keep fighting and draw on the strength of each other. xoxoxo

I would love to keep the smile on that sweet little girls face…please contact me to cross another item of her list….xoxo

Hi! I noticed on your “Dancing In The Rain” list that you would like for Lilee to go skating. I am a professional figure skating coach and I would love for my girls (12 & 15, who are both skaters) and I to come and meet your family at the ice rink and take Lilee skating. Please send me a private email if this is something that you would like to do with us.

    Stacy :)

On the weekend of June 22-23 we hold our annual tractor show. There are some tractors there that date back to 1918. If the ride on a real tractor has not been done by then there are many people there who would be honored to give her a ride on not only one tractor but many. If this is something that interests you feel free to contact me for more information. My 6 year old daughter is actually growing her hair right now to try and get it long enough to donate to locks of love. You are all in our prayers.

I was referred to your link by Liane Langois as one of her Facebook posts. The tears are still running down my cheeks as I send you this message. I’m still recovering from a near death collision or I would gladly do it myself, but I know people who would gladly take your daughter for a ride in the sidecar of a motorcycle or on the back of a trike if she would be interested. I can only imagine the heartache you are experiencing and commend you and your family in the conscious choice to celebrate life.

I’m thrilled that she will have a chance to ride a pony, but if Lilee-Jean enjoys her pony ride and would like to ride a horse again, I would love to have her come to my barn in matsqui and enjoy some time with my horses. I am a riding coach and have a wonderful, kind, quiet horse who loves kids. please call or email if you would like to come out. 604 916 2243

    Chelsey, Andrew and GORGEOUS Lilee,

I can’t fathom going through what your family is going through right now. You all are so amazing, strong and beautiful.
I can’t count how many times I have cried for your family and Lilee and I have never even met you. This little girl has changed so many lives and impacted so many people in such a short time.
Every time I get frustrated (as I think all parents do) with my 18 month old, Lilee reminds me of how precious little lives are and how we need to cherish every single second with these little pieces of amazing we have been blessed with!
Chelsey, your words are so touching and humbling…I hope to be half as loving, patient and strong as you have proven yourself to be. Thank you for sharing your family and story with the rest of the world!
I have donated to you though the website, but I feel like I need to do more…if there is ANYTHING that my family can do for yours, please let us know! I will continue to watch your “Dancing in the rain” list and see what we can help you check off!
I was wondering if Lilee would like to go to the Dinotown show at some point this summer (I know as a child, I loved it)!? I would be MORE than elated to purchase tickets for you and Andrew to take her to the show, and perhaps have a little picnic at bridal falls before it starts? Please email and let me know if this is something you guys would like to do with Lilee and I will set it all up and pay for it for you! If it is not your type of thing, I will not be offended at all, but will just have to figure out something else for you guys!!!
All our love and prayers xo

I learned about your family’s overwhelming challenge — and your inspiring ways of facing that overwhelming challenge — through the Connected Principles blog. I don’t know you, but I just wanted to say that I am keeping Lilee-Jean and your whole family in my thoughts and prayers.

The way you generate strength and hope is truly inspiring. And when you need a dose of extra hope to help you recharge, I hope it helps you to read these comments and see some of the way you have inspired and changed the lives of so many of us.

Again, your family is in my thoughts in prayers.

I would just like to say how much I admire you both to take this wonderful special time and to share these special events with your little angel. You are truly an inspiration to all parents who are going through all of these things that you as a family are. I had a little boy who was very ill 21 years ago. I still to this day, cherish every and I mean EVERY SINGLE second I spent with him at Children’s Hospital and at the Ronald McDonald House. I know the sheer praying on my knees to God, begging him to help us as a family, the heart wrenching tears and raw emotions and living on what felt like adrenalin, that’s the only way I can explain it. So, to be feeling all those things in your lives, yet having this unbelievable strength to get up, be strong, and make the very very most out of each moment you have with you darling little girl, is what I like to refer to as a Heavenly Intervention, a Higher Power giving you the strength and the love that you need to show, and to give to your child at this time! You are her heroes, you really are, and she is yours too! Even to this day when I hear that song by Bette Midler “Did you ever know that your my hero”, it reminds me of my sweet little Jeremy. The Wind beneath your wings! I open my heart to you as a family, and I cry along with you and admire the Heavenly strength you have gained! May God send his guardian Angels to protect your little one and your both in whatever the future may hold for you! May His strength uphold you and give you the strength to keep walking forward, to not be afraid, to enjoy each and every second with your little one. You both may know my daughter, as she grew up in Agassiz, and I do know you both as well, you may not know me. But I used to own a dressmaking business years back, and I would like to make your little one a special princess dress, in fact I am almost finished making it, and I will get my daughter Katie to get in touch with you both to give it to you! So she can be a princess for a day! All my love to you, I send warm hugs and prayers for you as a family. God Bless you forever! Cindy Fisher
